Applying for Assistance
People for People Foundation is a 501c3 grassroots organization dedicated to assisting typically self-sufficient residents who experience unexpected financial hardship in regaining stability through the provision of essential resources, advocacy, and referrals, with an emphasis on affordable housing and a preference for veterans.
Assistance requests for those in need are normally referred to the People for People Foundation by social services, civic groups, schools, governmental agencies, police or fire departments, hospitals, and religious organization, as well as direct contact from individuals in need. Applicant is permitted to be on government assistance when applying for help including, but not limited to, unemployment, worker’s compensation, food stamps, LIHEAP/USF, or receiving disability benefits. Programs for assistance offered are:
NJ SHARES Partnership:
People for People Foundation partners with NJ SHARES (New Jersey Statewide Heating Assistance and Referral for Energy Services) to support residents facing energy insecurity.
Venture Partnership / Conifer Realty, LLC.
Our joint venture with Conifer Realty, LLC. provides permanent housing for low to moderate income families with a veteran preference, as well as supplying supportive services for those families in need. It’s the first partnership in the U.S. to offer permanent housing to veterans, their families & surviving spouses of veterans.
Veteran Resource Center:
The People for People Foundation Veteran Resource Center provide on-site support through an Accredited Claims Agent (ACA), an independent professional authorized by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Our ACA assists veterans and their families with benefit claims, advocacy, appeals, and related household and personal needs.
