Camp Salute Update  – Comcast Newsmakers

Camp Salute is a joint venture between The People for People Foundation and Conifer Realty, LLC to provide permanent housing for low to moderate income families with a Veteran Preference in Clayton New Jersey. The development is located at 100 Homer St. in Clayton, NJ.  The development consists of 76 apartment units consisting of 14 one bedroom units, 40 two bedroom units and 22 three bedroom units. 19 of the units are fully accessible and will be set aside for disable veterans only. The remaining units will have a “Veteran Preference.”

Each unit has a patio or balcony with a community building housing the offices of People for People, a community room, exercise room, a computer lab as well as a tot lot playground area. Home Depot Foundation, Quikrete, Pavestone and Scott’s have built The Victory Garden, and area for meditation and a section with raised gardens, childrens garden and much more.
